OSM Foundation License Working Group published a clarification last week regarding the use of CC (Creative Commons) BY 4.0 licensed databases and data with OSM. The OSM Foundation will continue to ask that explicit permission be provided for use of CC BY 4.0-licensed material in the OSM project.
